Nursing Shortage Just Got Worse in Chicago

We've all been at the doctor's office and seen the rushing of nurses shuttling patients around and supporting the providers as patients rotate through as if they are on a conveyor belt. Worse yet are the overcrowded ERs or hospital floors where the nurses certainly must be consuming Red Bull shots between patient's rooms to keep going.

The shortage of healthcare professionals has taken its toll in Chicago where over 2,200 nurses walked off the job over a lack of proper staffing and compensation while working at a grueling pace and hours. How much more efficiency can be implemented into the healthcare system as patients and the healthcare professionals must interact?
